Eating on a Poverty Budget, Day 7: Bread Emergency

Not too much to say for Thursday except it was a leftover situation and my body got the better of me in the afternoon. I made an emergency purchase of hefty rye bread for $3.29 and ate half of it with tahini. The rye bread is going to have to come out of next weeks budget.

I also ate: leftover brown rice with eggs and dandelion greens for  breakfast, leftover Salmon trim soup and more dandelion greens for dinner. At least I’m getting some calcium via the greens and tahini.

Dandelion greens & Salmon soup

Total meal cost today $5.56 OOPS!

  1. I like the idea of Salmon trim for soups. That sounds like a real find. I hope you highlight that in your emerge presentation.
